Warehouse Storeperson

Workhorse Staffing are looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Storeperson for our client based in Castle Hill.

Role Overview

The Warehouse Storeperson plays a critical role in the smooth and efficient running of warehouse operations. This position is suited to an experienced warehousing professional ready to take the next step in their career by contributing to operational priorities, supporting workflow coordination, and helping ensure client service level agreements are consistently achieved.

Working closely with leadership, this role combines hands-on operational duties with responsibility for identifying improvements, supporting team performance, and maintaining the high service standards the company is known for.

As the company continues to grow they are planning to move into larger facilities, so this position offers a genuine opportunity to develop into a formal leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Support daily warehouse workflow by helping set priorities to ensure inbound stock is received accurately and customer orders are despatched on time.
• Act as an experienced point of contact on the warehouse floor, providing guidance and sharing best practices with team members.
• Proactively identify operational bottlenecks and recommend practical improvements.
• Champion safety, accuracy, and efficiency in all warehouse activities.

Inventory & Systems

• Oversee accurate receiving, check-in, putaway, and stock consolidation.
• Maintain high inventory integrity through cycle counts and stocktakes.
• Learn and become highly proficient in their Warehouse Management System.
• Ensure receiving times and operational data are recorded correctly.

Hands-On Warehouse Operations

• Pick, pack, and despatch orders using warehouse technology.
• Perform replenishment using forklift and manual handling.
• Load and unload trucks and containers safely and efficiently.
• Assist with container de-stuffing and stock organisation.
• Report low packaging supplies and operational issues promptly.
• Maintain clean, organised, and hazard-free work areas.
• Adhere to company policies and safety procedures at all times.

Skills & Experience required

• 5+ years’ experience in warehouse operations, ideally within larger or more complex environments.
• Current forklift licence with strong practical operating experience.
• Demonstrated ability to organise work, manage competing priorities, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
• Strong understanding of warehouse processes and inventory control.
• Comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a team.
